I started walking last week. I walked 4 days/30 minutes a day. I am going to try and do that 5 times a week from now on. My question is will this tone up my muscles? I would like to loose the cellulite on my booty and strengthen my leg muscles including my thighs. Will walking do this alone or do I need to incorporate other exercising method? Thanks.Does walking help tone leg muscles?
I agree with ladyluck - walking up hills is a great way to tone your backside. If you want to tone your leg muscles, you may also want to incorporate squats and lunges as they will help to build muscle. Unfortunately there is no way to get rid of cellulite but the good news is that everyone has it - even Demi Moore! However, by toning your muscles you can reduce the appearance of cellulite. Walking is a great workout not only for your legs but also for your cardiovascular health as well.
I walk 5 times a week 35-40 min. my leg muscles are much stronger but nothing has changed about my thighs. Nor will it help with cellulite sorry to say. Walking is good for you so no matter what, just continue walking.
If you are looking to tone your rear, hike up hills. If you are looking to loose fat you may want to talk longer. Good luck with everything
Yes.
