Eggs and period?

ok so u may think im stupid or sumet and i did do child development back in school, but when a women realeases an egg and it does not get fertilized by sperm, were does it go? flushed away with the next period ?Eggs and period?
A period is not the egg dissolving and leaving, although the egg does leave along with the period. Period bleeding is mostly made up of the lining of your uterus, which grows every month to let an egg attach if you become pregnant. If you don't become pregnant, the egg comes out along with the lining.
