Does it hurt to use a tampon the first time??

this is my first time using a tampon and right now it is really sore around the virgina. Is that normal??Does it hurt to use a tampon the first time??
when i first tried it didnt work. it was so uncomfortable that i ended up taking it out...i guess it takes practice!!

i tried it once last week.
and i had the same problem.. so i didn't try it again.
honostly it depends on how tite or loose your vangina is, if you have never been fingered or anything at all then it will probably hurt but later on your vagina will get used 2 it and it will feel as if its not even there if you insert it correctly, but if youve never done anything amke sure you get the small ones, hope i helped ya =D
