Does the hymen need to be broken in order for actual intercourse to be had?

what i mean is if it is intact can she still be impregnated?Does the hymen need to be broken in order for actual intercourse to be had?
Hymens don't cover the entire vaginal opening. Some girls don't even have hymens. They can be broken during childhood from bike riding or any other kind of sports. Sometimes hymens don't break when you have sex, if it's intact before sex. You can indeed get a girl pregnant if she has a hymen. It's not like it's a plug... it's a thin flap of skin covering a small portion of the opening.
No, the hymen can still be intact and intercourse have occurred.
And a pregnancy can definitely occur with an intact hymen.
honestly my hymen just recently broke and ive been having sex for a while now and have 4yr old a child(c-section) i am 26...lost virginity at 19
ms. vandy hit the nail on the head. the hymen is just a thin flap of skin. it usually does not cover the entire vaginal opening. even if it did though, sperm cells need a microscope to be seen so undoubtedly those little buggers could find a way into the smallest opening and bingo... baby time. there are several instances on record of women who have become pregnant with their hymens intact.
