Does skipping the sugar pills in your birth control really stop your period for that month?
Yes It Does But its not recomended to do all the time in Emergencys only like your going camping or a honeymoon
I have heard that it does but it might make you spot
Yes. But you may have some breakthrough spotting (light bleeding at any time). In addition, your next period will be twice as heavy. If you want to delay your period, I suggest this method:
Take the three weeks of pills then take one more week of regular pills before taking the placebo pills. I do this regularily and never have a heavier period than normal and rarely have spotting. I have tried the method you're talking about and regretted it completely because I got an extra long, extra heavy, extra painful period the following month.
Yes, it can. I take the sugar pills only every other month, and so only have a period every other month. Your body responds to the lack of hormone by having a period, if you just keep taking the hormone pill, your body doesn't get triggered to have a period. (at least for me!)
