I am afraid I am not fertile. A few years ago I was diagnosed with PID and I asked a question on here before about pregnancy and pid but now I would like to know if I am having my period does that mean I am still fertile? I mean since you dont have it when your pregnant. Any ideas??Does having a period mean you are fertile?
No. Women always have a certain number of eggs (I think about 300 but I'm not sure on the exact number), and from the moment they start their period, the egg count gets smaller and smaller. About 3 are released every period, that's why there are periods.. As for this meaning you're fertile, no, this is no guarantee. There are still other complications that can arise.
Unfortunately no. You can be infertile while still having a period.
Remember, you would have periods if you are on the pill, and effectively infertile (short-term).
Having a period, regular or not does NOT mean that you are fertile. With a history of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, you might want to follow up with your gynecologist to see what the deal is with you.
no you can still have periods and be infertile
